We partnered with the leaders in the film industry to pack KIAK with the best gear and technology so when you are on set the only thing you have to worry about is capturing your story.
No Mileage fee.
No A La Carte.
Seriously. None.
We charge a flat fee, including mileage, you can shoot confidently knowing the price isn't going to change no matter how many lights you pull off the truck.
KIAK doesn't require a special license, eliminates budget waste, and delivers you a top-tier industry experience that can get you to any location, no matter how remote. Our system delivers professional-grade versatility in an all-in-one all-terrain vehicle.
Everything you need and nothing you don’t.
We’re not for everyone, that’s kinda the point.
Grip trucks are geared to work first and foremost for large-scale productions. but heavy lights and Industrial tripods aren't efficient when you are working with a small crew on a branded documentary. We eliminate wasted time on set by only bringing the essentials.

About
The idea for KIAK came to me at the top of a mountain in Montana. I was DP’ing a documentary series, and we had scheduled a full shoot day at a remote fire lookout. The schedule was tight, with no room for delays. That morning, our PAs were driving the rented grip truck up a rough jeep trail when they blew two tires. The gear inside got tossed and trashed, and we lost the entire day waiting for replacements to arrive.
It wasn’t the first time I had seen a traditional grip truck become the bottleneck. I have watched them get stuck under overhangs, block alleys, slide off icy roads, and cause costly delays. I have also been handed surprise invoices full of mileage fees, rental add-ons, and line items no one discussed. That day in Montana, I decided to build something better.
I took every bad experience I had over 15 years of work in production and built a system that eliminated as many of the stress points as possible. Is KIAK the best solution for every job? No. But it is the perfect solution for most.
KIAK is not just a truck. It is a system designed by a filmmaker for filmmakers, built to make production smoother, faster, and smarter.
